I founded A Moment of Magic as a college student in 2014, and today I lead it as Executive Director: engaging volunteers, raising awareness, and expanding our programs for children and families.

I'm a best-selling author with a BA in Communication and English. From my debut children's book to my newsletter and social media, I use storytelling to share personal experiences and remind people that the most powerful thing you can be is yourself.

HOW IT STARTED
01 · WHERE IT STARTED
Small moments can change everything.
When I was a college freshman, I lost my grandparents, my two best friends who were married for over 60 years, less than twenty days apart. During their long hospital stays, I did whatever I could to help them feel like people instead of patients. I snuck in McDonald's, decorated their rooms for holidays, and visited in my prom dress before the school dance.
Those moments taught me how small actions can make a profound impact. When I lost them, I wanted to create more of those moments in their honor.
02 · 2014
I founded A Moment of Magic.
It started as a college passion project. My roommate and I visited pediatric hospitals in New York City dressed as princesses so hospitalized children could just be kids. We ran it out of my dorm room, hosting bake sales to buy costumes and gifts.
In November 2016, our story went viral, reaching more than 65 million views worldwide.
